Meeting with Altiero Spinelli

Pier Virgilio Dastoli is born in Anzio (Rome) May 12, 1949. He is graduate in Law in the University of Rome (1971). He was researcher in the Istituto Affari Internazionali (1972-1976). He was parliamentary assistant of Altiero Spinelli in the Italian Parliament (1976-1979) and in the European Parliament (1976-1986). He was principal adviser of the European Commissioner Carlo Ripa di Meana (1986-1988). He was official in the European Parliament (1988-2003). He was Head of the European Commission Representation in Rome (2003- 2009). He was principal adviser of the European Commission and member of the Spinelli Group’ steering committee in the European Parliament composed by prominent European leaders. He was teacher in the Universities of Macerata, Perugia, Bari and Rome in the framework of the Jean Monnet Programme. He is renewed Professor in the University “Dante Alighieri” (Reggio Calabria). He is engaged in the many cultural and social movements as well as the European Movement (he was general secretary of the International European Movement from 1995 to 2002 and he is actually president of the Italian Council) and the Permanent Forum of Civil Society (he was spokesman from 1995 to 2003). Mr Dastoli was Head of the European Commission Representation in Rome from 2003 to 2009, while he is currently President of the European Movement in Italy (from 2010).

Meet Pauline Garcia Viardot

Jorge Chaminé's baritone voice has brought him success on the stage from Moscow to New York through Reykjavik and Rio de Janeiro, but he is also an experienced educator who regularly gives masterclasses in Europe, Canada, Brazil and the United States.
He serves as ambassador for NGO Music in Middle East and is also a permanent member of the board of Music for Peace, an organization which recognised him as a Musician for Peace in 2011.
In 2018, he was made an Officer in the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government; in 2019, he received the “Grand Vermeil Medal” of the City of Paris. That same year, Jorge Chaminé was appointed Ambassador for Peace and Justice for the United Nations' 17 “2030 NOW Goals”.
