Our Story

It is a meeting born of chance at the other end of France that is at the origin of the EU Parlons-en. It all started in 2017 during a work of memory. Mathieu Lafoux and Pierre Brunon had just been honored for their documentaries "Mémoire de resistant" and "Derrière les matricules" produced as part of the National Competition for Resistance and Deportation. These short films, completed by a few high school students from Garonne, were the keystone of the meeting with the third founder, Eulalie Giraud.

Auvergne but Alsatian at heart, at that time she was a history student and guide at the former Natzweiler-Struthof concentration camp. High place of Memory, it is in this place full of symbolism that the first contact with the other two students took place.

Fascinating exchanges transposing the same values ​​convinced everyone to pool their differences in experience and education in the service of a common project: the audiovisual project "L'UE Parlons-en" was born!

Its development is motivated by the support alongside them of specialists, institutions, historians, political scientists, political scientists and citizens on a European scale.

Since 2019, the date from which the project was formalized, the founders have evolved since Eulalie, a graduate in History, continued her studies at Sciences Po Strasbourg where she specialized in European policies. and Franco-Germanic. The two high school students in turn became students. Mathieu in Law and Pierre in the audiovisual field.

They are now five since they were joined, in 2020, by Rebecca Swinton, Scottish student in French and Italian languages ​​and by Loïc Lutz, historian specializing in contemporary history and translator in French and German.
